Obama is a divider, not a uniter. His liberal policies, like affirmative action, inherently devalue individual autonomy, and create a dependence on government that is not merely unhealthy, it is deadly, both individually and societally. He is not color-blind, but extremely color-conscious, as is his pastor and mentor of 20 years.
As a profession, we work to eliminate human suffering, and respect for the individual, and the fostering of individual autonomy, are the means to that end. We should not be foolish enough to be blinded by a smooth speech or an emotional soundbite, when the substance of the liberal policies espoused by Obama would destroy individuals, and, ultimately, this nation. If our country is going to last, it will only do so by adhering to the values upon which it was founded, as a nation under God.
